Joy's Team in Training PledgePage

This year I have signed up to compete in the Maui Marathon as a part of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training Program. The program is a way of raising money (mainly for research and patient care). Those of you who know me, know that I usually don’t condone running (or walking) long distances. But after seeing a brochure and attending a meeting about this, I’m convinced that I can do it.

As a part of Team in Training, I’m going to have great coaching and fellow team members who’ll be completing the marathon in September with me. I’ll also be running/walking in honor of a “Patient Hero”. This just in, my patient hero is Rob Moser.

So now the part you’ve been waiting for…where do you fit in to all this?

Where you all are needed is in support. As I said before, this is to raise money for the Society. My goal is to raise $4800 by the time I compete in September. Please think about donating if you haven’t already. If you have given and want to give again, do not fret. I will take repeat donations gladly. Whether or not you give, please remember me and my teammates in your thoughts and prayers. I’m gonna need the support to keep going.
